UK subsidiaries are subject to various statutory compliance obligations that can be hard to track by hand. As a result, it’s easy for deadlines to be missed. The Confirmation Statement, Annual Accounts, Corporation Tax Return and VAT Returns each have a different due date.
MinuteBox 2026.29, released October 29, brings Automated Compliance to UK companies. You can also send Searches & Filings results to iManage. For Canadian corporations, Ontario incorporation documents now support rich text and a new check catches a contradictory significant-control declaration.

Automated Compliance for companies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
A UK company's Companies House and HMRC deadlines in its "Compliance" panel.
Automated Compliance now covers private and public limited companies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
There’s no calendar to build. MinuteBox works out each company’s Companies House and HMRC deadlines from the incorporation date and accounting year end already on the entity record. Each company gets deadlines for its Confirmation Statement, Annual Accounts, Corporation Tax Return (CT600) and VAT Return.
VAT Return deadlines appear only when a VAT number is recorded. They run from the VAT registration date. A separate check confirms that people with significant control are recorded. New items appear in Compliance and Global Tasks.
Automated Compliance tells you what is due and when. You decide what to file. Teams with UK subsidiaries can now track them in the same place as their US and Canadian entities.
For law firms: See your clients’ UK companies in the same task list as their US and Canadian entities.
For in-house teams: Bring your UK subsidiaries into the same compliance view as the rest of your group.
Send Searches & Filings results to iManage
"Save to iManage" in a Searches & Filings room.
In a Searches & Filings room, you can now send certificates, searches and filed documents to iManage with “Save to iManage”.
It’s in each row’s menu and in the “Download” menu above the “Results” and “Files” tables. The file keeps the same name and type as the download and a room with a matter number opens iManage at that workspace. There’s no more downloading a file to upload it again.
It’s there for firms that have connected iManage.
For law firms: Send a client’s search results to the matter’s iManage workspace without leaving the room.
Rich text in Ontario incorporation documents
Formatted share provisions on an Ontario incorporation.
Ontario incorporation documents now support rich text. Share provisions drafted in Word keep their formatting.
The custom share provision fields offer bold, italics, headings, bulleted and numbered lists, horizontal rules and indents. Formatting you type or paste from Word carries into the filed articles and the draft PDF.
Articles of Incorporation for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nunavut and the Ontario Articles of Amendment now offer saved answers and let you add directors from the entity.
For law firms: Bring the share provisions from your own precedent into the filing with their headings and lists intact.
For in-house teams: Keep a subsidiary’s share structure readable in the articles you file and the draft you review.
Why this matters
Automated Compliance now tracks Companies House and HMRC deadlines for your UK companies alongside your US and Canadian entities, from the records you already keep. You can also send search results to the matter’s iManage workspace from the Searches & Filings room, and share provisions keep the formatting they were written with.
A new “Shares Held” option in the ownership chart’s percentage options shows each holding as a number of shares, such as “100 Common”, instead of a percentage.
There’s much more packed in this release and MinuteBox customers can read the full release notes in the Learning Hub.
